Consultation
What to expect on your first consultation with us
History Taking
A series of questions will be asked. Questions asked are related to the current presenting complaint, information on family medical history, any pre-existing medical conditions or prior injuries, and previous and current health providers and treatments.
Physical examination
A range of chiropractic examination would be performed, including specific orthopedic and neurological tests, range of motion, motion palpation, postural analysis, gait analysis, and many more.
Diagnostic studies (only if required)
Based upon the results of the patient's history and chiropractic exam, your chiropractor will decide weather further diagnostic studies are necessary.
Diagnostic studies will only be advised to be taken if the chiropractor has a good reason to believe that the test would aid in providing better treatment plan.
Report of Findings and Diagnosis
From the information gathered above, your chiropractor will form and explain a working diagnosis to you. If the working diagnosis is deem to be an issue that chiropractic care could help out with, a chiropractic treatment plan would be explained to you.
However, if the working diagnosis is an issue that is out of our field, we would refer you to an appropriate profession.
